Each week we are going to look at some of the biggest topics in the NFL and decide whether a statement is true or false.
So we’re back again. A bit of a change on the power rankings this year. It’s the same five people. Myself (@djg23), Dave Matthewman (@edwinrumbledove), Dan McLaughlin (@GridironGents), Ross Bell (@RossBell1984) and John Macdonald (@HeelMacca) but we will be ranking the teams every fortnight to go along with the weekly true or false article.
The International Series went out with a bit of a whimper. The Chiefs destroyed the Lions in the third and final London game of the season.
I didn’t think I would see a performance as bad as the Dolphins vs the Jets again but Detroit may have passed that. Who needs Jamaal Charles when a defence can make Alex Smith look just like him?
The final International Series game of the season takes place this afternoon at Wembley when the Kansas City Chiefs host the Detroit Lions.
Here are five things to watch for in today’s game.
New offensive coordinator, Jim Bob Cooter
After last week’s games the Lions head coach Jim Caldwell felt the team needed a change. Detroit has an offence full of talent but they have struggled all season. Near the bottom of the league in most of the offensive categories, the team needs a spark.
Heading into week eight we still have five undefeated teams. At least one of those will go this week when the Denver Broncos host the Green Bay Packers.
Both teams come into the game off of a bye week but their paths to 6-0 couldn’t have been much more different. The Packers have looked impressive all season. Aaron Rodgers is once again amongst the favourites for the MVP and the defence has looked great.
