Josh Capps looks at the big Saturday night AFC east clash between the Patriots and Bills
The Bills head to New England looking to spoil the party and put a bit of pressure on Brady and his ever consistent dynasty of the AFC East. A win for Buffalo would take them level with New England meaning the division would go down to the final game next weekend.
The Patriots will want the opposite and will be hoping to wrap up the division and have no pressure going into the game against Miami next week. Belichick and the Patriots have been very comfortable in the AFC in recent years and they won’t like being in this situation. The Patriots host a strong record against the bills, beating them on their last six occasions and Buffalo are yet to win in Foxborough in a game that Tom Brady has started and finished (0-15).
The usual suspects of Edelman, White and rookie N’keal Harry will be key against Buffalo this week, and after finally getting back to winning ways last weekend, confidence should be high. Early points is the key for New England, and the defence returned to its best against the Bengals with four picks aswell as a strong holding through most of the game.
Buffalo will want to utilise the movement of Josh Allen, and expect Cole Beasley and John Brown to be the go to men in the air. The dangerous Singletary will again be in the backfield and the Patriots will be hoping he doesn’t have the running room to cause damage.
