Tom Brady has been nominated for the Overseas Sports Personality of the Year award for 2017.
The other people nominated are Roger Federer, Katie Ledecky, Tatyana McFadden, Sally Pearson and Michael van Gerwen.
Brady lead the Patriots to an astonishing comeback in February’s Super Bowl, making him the quarterback with the most Super Bowl rings in the process.
He is once again among the leading contenders for the season’s MVP award, despite being 40-years-old.
The Overseas Sports Personality of the Year award has never been won by an NFL player.
Federer looks like the favourite for the award after a superb year but just getting nominated for the award is a great achievement for Brady and any NFL player.
